There are many different termite species living across the United States; the most widespread species in our region of Maryland are subterranean termites.
Subterranean termites live in underground nests, have high moisture needs, and travel from their nest to a food source (decaying, wet, or old wood) each day. They are active year-round, never sleep, and spend their days and nights gathering food to bring back to the nest.

How can I prevent termites in the future?
